This agreement supplements Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). SnapRead is licensed, not sold, to you, and your use is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which is linked inside the App (on the purchase screen) and available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where this document and Apple's Standard EULA conflict, Apple's Standard EULA controls for matters it addresses; otherwise these Terms apply.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you (the parent or legal guardian using the account) and SnapRead ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the SnapRead mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your and your child's personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA.
A parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account, including your children's use. You agree to supervise your child's use of the App.
You agree not to:
Stories, illustrations, quizzes, vocabulary, and narration in the App are generated by artificial intelligence. While we apply safety filtering on requested topics and on generated content, AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise imperfect, and we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or always appropriate. Parental supervision is encouraged. You are responsible for deciding what content is suitable for your child. If you encounter content of concern, contact us at support@snapread.org.
The App offers an optional auto-renewable premium subscription and consumable story packs, sold through Apple In-App Purchase:
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription automatically renews for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store account settings; deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Prices may vary by region and are displayed in the App before purchase. Except as required by law or by Apple's policies, purchases are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.
The App, its software, and its design are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, content generated for your child within the App is yours to use for personal, non-commercial purposes.
THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account in-app (Profile menu → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §§6–8 and §10) survive.
Except where Apple's Standard EULA governs, and except for the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country or state of residence (which continue to apply to you), these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the SnapRead publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated Effective date and, where appropriate, in-app notice. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
